{Pssst. This is pretty much a copy and paste of the Facebook post I shared today, so if you've already seen that, feel free to skip this one. :) Thanks, y'all!}
Once again, I dropped out of social media land for a span of several weeks {and blogging for... several months probably. Sorry. I'm working on that} and so missed the official cover reveal for a new writing resource that is coming out. However, the news is too good to not share at all, so here it is, "better late than never"!

(Isn't it pretty?)
When I was only a year or two into this whole writing gig, my mom got me a copy of the original Go Teen Writers book, signed by co-author Jill Williamson. It was the first writing craft book that I had ever read, and I was so excited! It taught me so much about writing craft and gave me an understanding of the publication process that I was sorely lacking. I am forever grateful for the foundational knowledge that it gave me, and thus I am excited to share the cover of the prequel of sorts to the updated version of this book.
Go Teen Writers, Write Your Novel by Stephanie Morrill, Jill Williamson, and Shannon Dittemore releases in early December. Here's what it's about:
You have a story to tell, don’t you? Or maybe you simply want to try your hand at fiction writing. Perhaps you’ve given it your best effort, but simply didn’t have enough tools in your tool box to finish that first draft. Wherever you’re at with this novel-writing thing, popular bloggers Stephanie Morrill, Jill Williamson, and Shannon Dittemore totally understand.
They know it’s hard to finish a first draft. To stay motivated until the end. To feel like a “real” writer. They know because they’ve been there too.
In Go Teen Writers: Write Your Novel, you’ll learn:
* There is no such thing as one right way to write a novel.
* How to take an idea and give it a beginning, middle, and end.
* What story structure means and how it strengthens a book.
* Different approaches to plotting a novel.
* How to develop characters worth reading about.
* Strategies for creating memorable storyworlds and settings.
* What theme is and how to use it to enrich your story.
* What to do when your first draft is finished.
There’s no doubt about it. Learning to write a novel from beginning to end is a challenge. But with this book as your guide, you’ll see that when you’re in possession of the right tools, you’re capable of finishing what you start. You’ll be empowered and encouraged—as if you had a writing coach (or three!) sitting alongside you.
Go Teen Writers, Write Your Novel is available for preorder at https://goteenwriters.com/writeyournovel/.
Thanks for reading, y'all. 😁 God bless you!
Also, here's a couple pictures of my copy of the original Go Teen Writers book. I love this thing.
